The Team dresses for the event
Each member of the Ghana Initiative team was presented with a HOPE Child Development Center shirt or dress for the Children's Day event! The outfits were custom made by a tailor in the town. Everyone was excited to see what was to come! The final photo in this gallery shows Randy B. being measured for his shirt.
Songs, Dances, poems and skits
The children at HOPE CDC shared dance routines, poems, skits about school and the importance of every child getting an education and monologues with the parents, dignitaries and GI team. It was all very well done. The children should be pleased with themselves for a job well done!
time to give our offering/donation to HOPe
The GI team joins in the celebration by dancing with the children and staff. It was loads of fun.
Children Dance and entertain!
An end to a super day!
We ended our day with some shopping. The children had made beautiful beaded jewelry and flip flops for us to purchase. Then we headed for the Makola Market in the center of Accra. The market was nearly three miles across and packed with shoppers and most anything you may wish to buy. Our dinner was a traditional Ghanaian meal.
