It's all about building relationships while spreading the word of god!
Profile of a MISSION Team member Dr. Roger Kimber
Several times per month we will be highlighting a member of the 2018 Ghana Initiative mission team. We ask that you would pray for the team member being highlighted. We are blessed with a loving, committed and skillful team, and look forward to the team God brings together for 2019.
Dr. Kimber has been serving with Ghana Initiative from the beginning. His first mission trip with Ghana Initiative was in 2014. He is a caring man with a HUGE HEART!! He takes time to listen to the needs of every patient who comes through our clinics and prays with his patients regularly! Dr. Kimber is now a board member of Ghana Initiative Mobile Medical Mission. We thank Dr. Kimber for his commitment and love for the people of Ghana and look forward to how God uses him in Ghana into the future.
Each day God opens doors in our lives. He gives us chances to share His love with those around us. Too often however, we miss out on the blessings that go along with walking through these open doors. Are you aware of the doors that God is opening in your life? Are you missing out on the blessings? Ghana Initiative teams encounter numbers of open doors during every day of a mission experience. Wouldn't you like to be a part of our team? Check out the NEW 2019 mission team application at the bottom of this page.
May the Holy Spirit serve as your bridge today! If you count on the Holy Spirit to guide you and walk with you each day, you should never find it necessary to stand at one end of a bridge in your life and ask, Is it safe; Is it Strong; or Will it hold me? The Holy Spirit has designed a path for your life that is PERFECT and STRONG! Follow your path and cross every Bridge with confidence!
Cross with confidence

To god be the glory!
Ghana Initiative Mobile Medical Mission is joyful following another exciting, successful and miraculous mission experience in Ghana, from August 1-12, 2018. We thank God for guiding, protecting, healing and saving. Each member of our team is blessed with testimonials of how the Lord was working in them and through them. We saw souls saved, hearts changed, bodies healed and joy unspeakable as we were obedient to the Holy Spirit working through us.
The photos below, show the faces of just a few of the many individuals who experienced the awesome power of God's love shining into or through their hearts and lives. We are truly blessed to have served the beautiful and welcoming people of Ghana, West Africa. Most of our time was spent in the Eastern Region towns of Adamorobe, Adjena and Pokrom Nsaaba.
Thanks go out to all who support the ministry of Ghana Initiative Mobile Medical Mission through prayer, financial donations and material contributions. Your support makes it possible for Ghana Initiative MMM to touch the lives of thousands. Most importantly, we thank God and remember to say: "TO GOD BE THE GLORY!"
Look at what god is doing!
God is doing beautiful things in Ghana. He is working in and through our missionaries to change lives and hearts! May God receive all of the Glory for what He is doing in Ghana, West Africa through Ghana Initiative Mobile Medical Mission!
Salvation belongs to a young man following his interaction with Bible School teacher Wendy Shonk. "Prince" accepts Jesus as his savior, and becomes the first of 37 salvations identified during the Ghana Initiative Mobile Medical Mission experience. Imagine the celebration in heaven as hearts were changed an souls were saved!
Miracles do happen!! Young "Ama Dzigbor" came to the medical clinic in Pokrom in a state of unresponsiveness. She was very ill. Several team members laid hands on her and began to pray for God to heal her. Within minutes she opened her eyes, cried to be nursed by her mother and interacted with her parents and team members. A CAT scan and check up at the hospital, confirmed that she had been healed! Our God is a MIRACLE WORKING GOD!!
A mustard seed of Faith and a moment of Prayer can move a mountain. (Matthew 17:20) Faith and Prayer brought healing to Ghana Initiative team members, volunteers and patients alike. Our missionary team members put Faith into action by praying for those in need, as they served the lovely people of Ghana. For each life that was touched, God received the Glory!!
Children met their sponsors. Ghana Initiative team members allow the love of Christ to shine through them by sponsoring children in need in the towns where Ghana Initiative serves. On this mission experience Jerry Emmanuel of Pokrom Nsaaba met his sponsor, Judy Poglitsch and David, of Accra found a new sponsor in Ghana Initiative team member Val Weaver. Sponsorship opens the door for children to go to school, expand their knowledge and skills and develop into productive citizens of Ghana.
Generous donations from supporters of the Ghana Initiative ministry enabled us to distribute more than 800 mosquito bed nets in three communities. The nets were given free of charge to those who demonstrated the need for the bed nets and to those who came to our clinic having already contracted malaria. We have already seen a reduction in the number of cases of malaria in the community where we gave out bed nets last year. Praise God for making this work possible.
PRAISE THE LORD!! On Sunday, the team attended church at Jesus Camp located in Dansoman, Accra. The service was lead by Pastor Charles Otchere-Baffour and his wife Lawrencia. This was a Holy Spirit lead experience filled with Joy and Bible based teaching. We were with our spiritual family and enjoyed every moment of it! We thank God for giving us the freedom to praise and worship Him with all that was within us!
"BOOTS, BOOTS & more BOOTS" This summer, we gave away more than 400 pair of new and gently used soccer cleats, or Football Boots as they are called in Ghana. Ghana Initiative team members and many generous sponsors donated hundreds of pairs of Boots for the children and youth in rural communities in Ghana. The Boots were a blessing to so many. They are sure to be put to good use by the boys and girls who received them. We thank everyone who donated Boots!
Joy was spread through bountiful hugs! Team members were challenged to spread the love of Christ through a hug and a smile. Both the hug giver and hug receiver were blessed by the joy that welled up inside. The children yearned for hugs and often didn't want to let go as they were hugged by Ghana Initiative team members.
God made it possible for Ghanaian professionals to join the Ghana Initiative team in greater numbers than ever before. This year we welcomed Dr. Richard, Pharmacist Diamond, Nurse Sandra, Nurse Mavis, Biological Scientist Daniel, and a number of selfless volunteers. We look forward to what God has in store for 2019.
